Pilgrimage to Jordanville

Parishioners of St. Vladimir Church traveled to the Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, the main monastery of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. We took part in the daily services, toured the candle factory, the museum, the local cemetery where Brother Joseph is buried, and the Iversky Female Convent. Bishop Luke, the abbot of the monastery, spent time with the pilgrims, speaking with our group of children and separately with the adults. He offered guidance on raising children, maintaining their involvement in the church, and fostering a love for the Orthodox faith and its traditions. The Bishop blessed us to come again, introduce parishioners to monastic life, and gain spiritual enrichment.
