On July 28, Divine Liturgy was celebrated in our church in honor of Saint KNYAZ Vladimir. The service was led by Archimandrite Stefan (Khilchuk), rector of the Holy Pochaev Monastery in North Port. Serving alongside Father Stephen were parish clergy, priest Dimitri Romeo and priest Mikhail Mikhailenko. Hierodeacon Paisiy, a resident of Pochaev Monastery monastery, together with the children's choir under the direction of our regent Tatyana Dzengliuk, added a special solemnity to the service.
After the service Fr. Stefan addressed the parishioners with a sermon, emphasizing the importance of preserving the Orthodox faith, given to us by Saint Vladimir.
The holiday ended with a procession of the cross, a word from the rector (Fr. Daniel McKenzie) and refreshments from our sisterhood.
